Description:	On May 26, 1926, seven young, strong-bodied Swedes held a meeting. All of them had recently arrived ion the United States, and all of them had an inherent love for sports. The purpose of their meeting was to form a club, a club where they and other Swedish immigrants could come together and engage in the various athletic activities which had become such an important part of daily life.
