Founded in 1968 in Dallas, Texas, the Texas Longhorns Soccer Club is the oldest select soccer club in Texas and the southwestern United States. The club continues its philosophy of developing individual players within a team framework while playing in the most competitive leagues available in the Dallas metroplex. The Texas Longhorns Soccer Club has fielded teams for boys since 1968 and for girls since 1989. In fact, the Texas Longhorns Soccer Club was the first select soccer club in the area to successfully add girls' teams to an established boys' club organization. TLSC has strived to field teams for both boys' and girls' sides in the U11 through the U19 age groups. In the spirit of ongoing growth and development of our players, the club offers year-round training, both indoor and outdoor matches, and travel to tournaments throughout the United States and abroad. High Plains Drifters Soccer Club, founded in 1994, is the oldest and largest soccer club in Panhandle of Texas. It is a member of the Amarillo Soccer Association, the North Texas State Soccer Association, and the United States Youth Soccer Association. During the Fall 2004 ? The Vipers Soccer Club formed in 1998, as a competitive soccer club. The Vipers operates as a non-profit organization focused on promoting the sport of soccer, at a competitive level, in Rowlett, Rockwall and the surrounding communities. In its first year the club consisted of three teams, '88 boys, '89 boys and '89 girls. The club has since added new teams each year up to the current under ten age group. The Club has 4 teams that have made it into the elite "classic leagues." The Vipers participate in league play in Lake Highlands Girls Classic League, Chamber Classic Soccer Alliance and Plano Premier Invitational League. The DFW Tornados was founded as the American Eagles Soccer Club in 1990. It now has 39 select teams, a "Tiny Twisters" program for 3-5 year olds, an academy for 6-9 year olds and a men's professional team.
