Welsh Football League Division Three Risca United A.F.C. are a member club of the Football Association of Wales and are affiliated to The Gwent County Football Association. Risca United A.F.C are proud members of The Welsh Football League.

Race Association Football Club (Race AFC) is currently based at Coleg Gwent – Pontypool Football Ground, Blaendare Road, Upper Race. Race is on the outskirts of Pontypool, perched on a hill overlooking the town. Llanllyfni Football Club was established during the summer of 2005. There is no official recollection of a club existing in the village before this time; therefore this is the birth of a new football club. Most of the squad in the clubs maiden season (2005/06) were members of the successful Llanllyfni junior side that won the Under 12's

Bettws FC was formed in 1995 after a merger of two clubs, Bettws AFC and Bettws Athletic. The merger occurred when sensible football people in the village realised that running two clubs in a small community was not a sensible option.

We are one of the largest football clubs in Wales in terms of the number of teams we run - 21 at the last count! Our first team plays in the Macron West Wales Print Welsh Football League Third Division. Our 2nd, 3rd & 4th teams operate in the Newport and District Football League. We run under 18 and 16 sides in the Gwent County F.A. Youth League In addition, we operate junior teams at every age level from under 7 up to under 16, together with 2 all girls teams at under 11 and 13 level. All these teams play in the Torfaen Junior and Youth League.

Llangollen Football Club was formed as early as 1908 but clubs such as Arosfa and Berwyn Rangers were the pioneers of football in the Vale of Llangollen at the turn of the century. The present club came to prominence in the 1950's and enjoyed success until the mid seventies, when a decline seems to have set in after winning the North East Wales Cup in 1974, more than 20 years elapsed before they won the next real honours.

At the start of season 1999-2000, August 21st, to be precise, Llandudno Junction FC took to the field in a senior competitive match for the first time in over 45 years.A Llandudno Junction team existed until 1954, then the Junction and Conwy Borough, from Conwy decided to merge and form the club Borough United.Until then, both the Junction and Conwy Borough, though both operating in the Welsh League (North) struggled to regularly attract decent gates.

Football in llandudno dates back to 1878 when a club,probably known as Gloddaeth Rovers were in existence probably for around a decade.the club was formed for the purpose of providing activity for criceters during their close season.A full international Wales v Ireland was played on the "council field" in 1898. The club monved to it's current home at Maesdu Park in 1991after the "council field" was used for the construction of the ASDA store in the late 1970's. The current ground was officially opened in 1991 and floodlights were added in 1994.The following season saw the erection of a clubhouse and two small stands which provide seating(covered)for 130 spectators.
